In memory of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and person with the biggest smile, kindest heart, giver of her time, and love of the Lord, we are hosting a Funeral Celebration for Shelby Faye Banks Boger, age 73, of Danville. Service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018, 2:00 p.m., at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to service.

Interment will be in Red Hill Cemetery in Moulton. Officiating will be Larry Franks, Bro. Brian Canuteson, and Stanley Linderman, with a celebration in songs to honor her life, memories, and love of music.

Mrs. Shelby, who died Thursday, November 8, 2018, at home with her loving family by her side, was born December 11, 1945, in Moulton, to James Willard Banks and Mattie Mae Newton Banks. Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Harold, Darrell, and Frankie Banks, and one sister, Bobbie Sue Ratcliff. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Ray Boger; one son, Charles Ray Boger, Jr. and wife, JoAnne, of Decatur; one daughter, Karen Boger Bowling and husband, Kevin, of Decatur; two grandchildren, Kristian Matthew Bowling and MaKenzie Brooklyn “Kenzie” Bowling; one brother, Neal Banks (Norma) of Decatur; three sisters, Dorothy Linderman of Danville, Kathy Cerullo (Chuck) of Hartselle, and Debbie Banks of Hartselle.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Banks, Phillip Banks, Gary Linderman, Gary Lindsey, John Boger, Shannon Boger, and Blake Boger.
