Obituary Service Details Shirley A. Ismail, nee Hediger, age 81, of Swansea, IL, born on April 28, 1937 in Mills, IL, died on June 14, 2018 at Oak Hill Nursing Home, Waterloo, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Ismail; her parents, Ernest and Mary Rebecca, nee Wade, Hediger; her siblings, Harold (Leah) Hediger, Vera (Kenneth) Engelhardt, Vincent (Dorothy) Hediger, Lucian Hediger, Lester Hediger and Wayne (Gloria) Hediger; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Hediger (wife of Donald Hediger). Shirley is survived by her children, Michael J. (Stacey) Ismail of St. Louis, MO, Cynthia A. (David) Muren of Belleville, IL, Cherie L. Ismail (fiancé, Rick Potter) of Fenton, IL and Michelle R. (Rodney) Jones of Waterloo, IL; her grandchildren, Lauren, John and Emily Muren, Alison, Bryan and Sarah Jones, and Audrey and Megan Ismail; her siblings, Donald Hediger, Ada (Leland) Wade, Murray (Eunice) Hediger and Roland (Nancy) Hediger.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 with Fr. Jack McEvilly officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
