Obituary for Shirley A. “Mimi” Parrish Shirley A. “Mimi” Parrish, of Memphis, Tennessee was born on January 1,1937 and went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2019, surrounded by loved ones. She is preceded in death by parents, Evelyn Arledge Ashburn and Sutton Lestor Arledge and a brother James Arledge. She leaves behind a loving husband of fourty five years, Fred L. Parrish, one sister, Peggy Lee of New Orleans, Louisiana, two sons,Terry Wilson Ellis (Betty) of North Little Rock, Arkansas and James Morris Ellis (Dawn)of Memphis,Tennessee as well as an honorary daughter, Gail Ellis of Rossville, Tennessee and honorary grandson, Robert Ozment Ellis of North Little Rock , Arkansas, grandaughters, Colby Crim (Kris) of Southaven, Mississippi; Kirby Davis (Philip) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Brecken Allen (Philip) of Collierville, Tennessee; Emmie Ellis and honorary grandson Robert Ozment Ellis of North Little Rock, Arkansas, great grandchildren, Kaden and Kellen Davis, both of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Shirley attended Central High School, was a member of the Collierville United Methodist Church, retired receptionist for Piggly Wiggly and was a wonderful lady with a warm heart and a love for God. Her gift of tissue donation will ensure that she lives on in others. She will be missed dearly by all of her friends and family.

A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family requests memorials be sent to a charity of your choice. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Shirley A. “Mimi” Parrish please visit our Sympathy Store.
