Shirley was born on March 2, 1935 in Electra, TX to Emory Lee Truax & Juanita Corine Sanders Truax, who are now deceased. She married Chester L. “Chet” Teel on June 27, 1978 in Stephenville, TX.

Shirley was the elder sister of Jackie Traux of Blanchard, OK & Betty Traux Epperson of Allen, TX, now deceased. She is survived by a younger brother; Jene Traux of Bowie, TX. Shirley is survived by a blended family of eight loving children; Terry Thane Noe & wife Denise of Denison, TX, Randy Noe & wife Nancy of Georgetown, TX, Dusty Noe & fiancée Jennifer Backest of Bells, TX, Janet Mayes & husband Kenny of Tom Bean, TX, Terry Lee Teel & wife Sheri of Highland Village, TX, Sharon Teel Simpson & husband Les of Sherman, TX, Julie Gayle Baula & husband Chris of Sherman, TX, Matthew Kelyn Teel & wife Bridgett of Sherman, TX, twenty three grandchildren, thirty six great-grandchildren, other extended family & many friends.

Shirley’s life epitomized the chronicle set out in Proverbs 31 describing the attributes of a virtuous woman. A loving mother, a gracious wife, honoring and caring for her husband and home. A woman of wisdom and creative ability’s, that brought respect and admiration from her community and those who have known her.

Many of those effected by this precious lady’s love and care are here among us today. Those individuals whose lives have been touched and changed by her council and compassion. Their testimony’s were made manifest at our home in the two days of visitation, prior to Shirley’s passing.

Today we celebrate that legacy and her promotion to Glory. With this testimony from a person who’s life was changed by her love. Service will be held Monday, February 18, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Victory Life Church, 4100 N. Travis, Sherman, TX.

Officiating will be Pastors Jacob Sheriff, Terry Brown, and Lee Armstrong.
