Mrs. Shirley G. Rabuck, 89, of Whitehall, Pa. formerly of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, February 10th at Whitehall Manor, Whitehall, Pa. She was the wife of the late Floyd A. Rabuck who passed away, October 23, 1993.

Born in Lehighton, Pa. on Thursday, May 30, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth & Marian A. (Dorshimer) Ashner. She earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree from Bloomsburg University and taught business in the Lehighton Area School District, and later taught elementary education in the New Jersey school system.

Shirley was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton where she volunteered her time with the food pantry. She enjoyed participating in the Lehighton Area Women’s Bowling League and enjoyed bus trips with the Trinity Lutheran Church Women and other area women’s groups. Surviving are a daughter, Pam, wife of Carlos Wakabayashi of Northampton, a sister, Gwen, wife of Robert Kreidler of Florida, 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a niece & a nephew.

A Celebration Of Life Service in her honor will be held on Monday, February 18th at 10 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with Vicar Richard Bergen officiating. Call 9-10 a.m. on Monday. Interment following the services in the Lehighton Cemetery.
