Shirley J. Berge, 83, of Roscoe, IL passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Born November 25, 1934 in Deer Grove, IL, daughter of Joseph Hamblock and Frances (Forward) Teer. Married Ronald A. Berge on January 8, 1955 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sterling, IL.

Her family always came first. Her loyalty, integrity and honesty knew no limit. She loved to cook and bake and no one ever left her home hungry.

Survivors include her husband of 63 ½ years Ron; Shirley is loved and missed by her children, Neil Berge, Mark (Debi) Berge, Rhonda (Paul) Queen, Jackie (Sam) Giovenco; grandchildren, Michelle (Josh), Felicia, Christine, Paige, Shelby (Kailey); great grandchild, Mackenzie; brother, Joe (Eva) Hamblock; sisters, Carol Levoy, LuAnne (Andy) Pierce, Kathy (Dave) Grzenia, Melodie (Tom) Fritsch; and brother-in-law, Larry Zitkus. Special mention her cherished dog, Holly. Predeceased by her parents; sister, Pat Zitkus; and brother, Neil Hamblock.

The Berge family would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Ajaz Khan and OSF Hospice. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, IL with service immediately following. Private burial in Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling, IL.
