Shirley K. “Shirk” Griffin, 73, of Williamsport, died Monday Feb. 18, 2019, in her home surrounded by family. Born March 5, 1945 in Williamsport, Shirley was a daughter of the late Daniel and Shirley (Lusk) Flexer.

Shirley attended and was a member of the former Memorial Baptist Church. Shirley was a loving wife and devoted mother that enjoyed spending every second she could with family. When Shirley had free time, you could find her watching westerns such as Gunsmoke and Maverick.

Surviving are two sons, Robert L. “Bob” Griffin Jr. (Dawn) and Jan A. Griffin (Lori), both of Williamsport; five grandchildren, Andrea, Ryan, Gerald, Jennifer, and Robert Griffin III; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Daniel Flexer (Diane) and Charles Flexer (Fran), both of Williamsport. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert L. Griffin Sr. and a sister, Judy Hewett. A memorial service to honor the life of Shirley will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb.

22, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. , Williamsport. Burial will be held in Trout Run Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s name to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701, or at www. cancer.org.
