Shirley Marie Budziak, Age 98, peacefully passed away on October 17, 2018. She was born in Chicago on September 19, 1920. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Alice Budziak, her brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Mildred Budziak, brother-in-law, Henry Belzer and her niece Sally Budziak Matthews.

She was the dear sister of Alice; loving aunt of Jan Belzer (Patti Reid), Susan and James Fisher and Richard Belzer; devoted great aunt of Meagan and Brian Patterson and… Read More » Kelly and Ken Ely and adoring great, great aunt of Mackenzie and Lexie Patterson and Madison and Ashlyn Ely. She also leaves behind many dear friends. Shirley lived on Kedvale Avenue in Chicago for the first half of her life before moving to Arlington Hts.

1962. She attended Kelvyn Park High School and worked for Sears for 43 years, both on Homan Avenue and at the Sears Tower. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Chicago and Cross and Crown Lutheran Church and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church both in Arlington Hts.

Shirley loved life in every sense of the word. She was a talented artist, photographer and athlete. Her sense of humor and playful spirit brought many people and experiences into her life.

She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be Monday, October 22, 2018, from 9:00 am to time of funeral service at 11:30 am at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, IL 60084. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 10:00 am at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 W. Irving Park Rd.

Chicago, IL 60634 (773-625-3500). Meet at graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lutherdale Bible Camp would be greatly appreciated.
