Our ROCK and lovingly devoted mother, Shirley Taylor Hines, age 84, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 10, at 11:00 am at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Queen Anne Cemetery in Fountain.

Mrs. Hines was born and raised in Edgecombe County and was a homemaker. She was a member of New Beginnings Free Will Baptist Church of Elm City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalma Hines; daughter, Dianne Glover; and son, Hubert Hines.

Shirley leaves her loving family, Ray Hines of Elm City, Edward Hines (Jenny) of Pinetops, Barbara Smith (Glenn) of Fountain, Earl Hines of Fountain, and Beth Creekmore (Todd) Atlanta, GA. Her legacy will continue with thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Farmville Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. Online condolences may be made at www.
