Shirley E Baxter, 82, of Cozad, Nebraska, died May 15, 2018 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg, NE. She was born March 23, 1936 in Frankfort, KS, daughter of Linley and Agnes (Roush) Woodyard. Shirley grew up in Blue Rapids, KS and graduated from high school.

Shirley was married to Harry Baxter Sr. and they had eight children together; Martha, Steve, Terry, Harry Jr, Gary, Linda, Robert and Helen. She was a busy mother raising her children. She moved to the Gothenburg and Cozad area in 1999 and worked at several area restaurants.

She collected angels and liked to play Bingo and exercise. She looked forward to visits from her family and friends. Survivors include her children: Martha, Steve, Terry, Harry Jr., Gary, Linda and Robert; 25 grandkids, many great and great great grandkids; four brothers, Bill, Riley, Ed, and Larry; sister, Roseann; special friends Jim and Connie Dalrymple and many others.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Helen, grandson Lonnie and brother, Robert Woodyard and special friend Wesley Glenn Dalrymple. Shirley’s wishes were for no public services.
