Obituary of Shirley Garman Shirley E. (Hitchens ) Garman, age 88 years, of Cedar Heights section of Whitemarsh Twp. , Pa, passed away on Friday December 14, 2018 of natural causes. Shirley was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on Tuesday September 30, 1930, daughter of the late Benjamin and the late Ida Mae Hitchens of Rosemont, Pa.

Shirley met her husband, Arthur, in Cedar Heights, and married him in the Community Church of Cedar Heights that was started by her father – in – law, The Reverened William E. Garman. The couple lived in the Heights for over 60 years. The couple had three daughters Sherry and Sheryl of Cedar Heights and Sandra of Goose Creek, SC.

Mrs. Garman lived with her daughters, Sherry and Sheryl, for the past 10 years in the family home. Her three Granddaughters Jennifer, Dee & Kimberly held a special place in her heart. The Garman’s love of travel and the outdoors included frequent family trips to Tunkhannock, Pa and Ocena City, NJ.

She will be missed. We love you, Mom. Her services and interment will be private.
