He was born in Detroit, MI and relocated to Evansville IN in 1943. An accomplished writer, reporter, historian, businessman, entrepreneur, entertainer, musician, performer, producer song writer, publisher, husband, father, friend and servant; leaves his mark in the hearts of many.

He was preceded in death by his wife Frances M. Scott. Sidney is survived by; son: Sidney L. Scott Jr ; brothers: Gregory Scott and Dr. Leonard Scott; sister: Barbara Scott Golder; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11am (CST) Monday December 10, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church 663 S. Elliott St.; Evansville, In with visitation starting at 10am.
