Beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather and treasured brother, Stanley Eugene Mask, age 71, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 in Longview, Texas. He was born on June 26, 1947 in Abilene, Texas to Troy J. Mask and Gladys Ida (McLean) Mask. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Gladys Mask.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 38 years, Sharon Ann Mask; his children, Stephanie Jennings (Darin), Steven Mask, Becky Klepper, Walter Aaron Mask and Karl Klepper (Antoinette Cascio); grandchildren, Danae Jennings, Clayton Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Krysta Fisher (Aaron), Haley Jennings, Keegan Klepper, Sam Mask, Justin Mask and his brothers, Don Mask (Cecil) and John Thomas (Connie). Stanley proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was Medic and Hospital Corpsman 1st Class for 14 ½ years.

Following his service in the Navy, Stanley was employed as a gas pipeline inspector for many years. He had a love of fishing, hunting and reading John Grisham, Louis L’Amour and Tom Clancy. Stanley was a gentle man who loved life and dearly loved his family.

His final selfless act was the gift of organ donation. Stanley was well loved and will be missed by all who knew him. A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Stanley’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research, Shriner’s Hospital or the Navy/Marine Corp Relief.
