Beloved husband, devoted father and cherished son, Douglas Dwayne Sparks, age 56, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 in Marshall, Texas. He was born on January 27, 1963 to Gerald Douglas Sparks and Nancy Wiletta Coffman in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

Douglas is preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy Sparks, Vera Sparks, Shorty Coffman and Oleta Coffman; aunts, Beverly Ragsdale and Becky Coffman; cousins, Shannon Grider and Kevin Grider and parents-in-law, Raymond and Dorothy Morgan. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Shelia Sparks; his son, Skyler Ray Christian Morgan; parents, Gerald Sparks and Weedy Dotson (Bobby); sisters, Tina Sparks, Tammy Sparks, Tonja Wheeler as well as numerous cousins, friends, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and other family members. He is also survived by his special friends, Pastor Emmett and Vicki Gagnard; and his fur babies, Milo and Gracie.

Douglas spent many years as a driller in the oil field, enjoyed fishing and riding horses. He loved his church, reading his Bible and truly loved the Lord. Douglas was well-loved and will be missed by all who were blessed by his love and friendship.

A Memorial Service will be held at Heart Dream Fellowship Church in Marshall, Texas on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2:00pm with Pastor Emmett Gagnard officiating.
