Viewing will be Friday, March 15, 2019 at Peoples Missionary Baptist Church; 406 Sanford St. Marshall, Texas, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Interment, Algoma Cemetery North, Marshall, Texas. Obituary Wesley Sherard “Jayson” Timmins was born on January 14, 1989 to Zephaniah & Glenda Brown Timmins at 2:09 p.m. weighing 6 pounds and 10 ounces.

He was a devoted father, son and brother who always put the interest of his family first. He loved his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Wesley united with Peoples Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.

He sang in the youth choir until he became the church drummer. He received his first set of drums at the age of 8. With much practice and prayer he excelled at this craft and was hired to play for several area churches and gospel groups.

He attended Marshall Public Schools graduating from Marshall High School in 2007. Wesley enjoyed sports and was involved in football, basketball and powerlifting. He also attended Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas.

Wesley enjoyed playing video games and watching action hero movies. He was also proud to let everyone know he was an avid “Houston Texans” fan. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cubie Timmins and Retha Timmins and by his maternal grandparents, Samuel Brown and Annie Marie Brown.

Wesley leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Zephaniah and Glenda Timmins; a precious daughter, Amaria Michelle Timmins; one brother, Brandon Timmins (Tosha); one sister, Whitney Timmins; five uncles, Larry Brown (Cynthia), Calvin Brown (Sylvia), Arthur Timmins (Audrey), Jasper Timmins (Pauline), Eddie Adams (Clara) and Richard Durden (Annie Ruth); five aunts, Glora Alberty, Patricia Abrams-Parker (Noble), Marilyn Benavides, JoAnn Faggett and Josephine Wiggins (Leon); one nephew, Braylen Timmins; two nieces, Simone Christopher and Simorah Timmins; a loving godmother, Winnie Winfrey and a special cousin, Shawn Alberty.
