Mrs. Abernathy was born February 15, 1973, in Atlanta to Donald R. Harper and Diane S. Bloodworth. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Riverside Health.

She is survived by her sons, Evan Tyler (Destiny Holcomb) Abernathy of Rome, and Cayden Reed (Megan) Abernathy – US Army Italy; mother, Diane S. Bloodworth; father, Donald R. Harper; brother, Donald Aubrey Harper of Rome; grandchildren, Kahner Abernathy and Hylynn Abernathy. Memorial services for Mrs. Abernathy will be announced later.
