Stephen C. Richardson #SteveStrong, age 34, passed away April 22, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 8, 1984 in Barberton, Ohio, served in the United States Marine Corps. , and was a Police Officer for Sugarcreek.

Stephen was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Alice Proehl; grandma, Carolyn Turner; and fathers-in-law, Vincent Collins and Scott Gougler. Stephen is survived by his wife of 14 years, Jessica; cherished sons, Ty and Court; mother, Pamela Richardson; sister, Jennifer Colbetzor; niece, Mackenzie Colbetzor; nephew, Ronnie Colbetzor; and extended family.

Stephen was a courageous and true hero who will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends, THURSDAY, April 26 from 5:00-7:00pm at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton. Funeral Services will be held, FRIDAY at 11:00am at the funeral home.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephen’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
