Obituary for Stephen L. Kuchtey Hampton – Stephen L. Kuchtey, 84, of Hampton and a former longtime resident of Hampton Falls, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Portsmouth Hospital. Stephen was born in Boston, MA on November 13, 1933, a son of the late Stephen and Aileen (Morris) Kuchtey and was the husband of the late Norma J. (Morris) Kuchtey He was raised in Hampton Falls and Hampton Beach and was a graduate of Hampton Academy. Stephen entered the United States Marine Corps after high school and while at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, fell in love and married Norma Jean Morris.

Upon his discharge, he and Norma returned to New Hampshire and Stephen worked as an aircraft engine mechanic for the former Eastern Airlines at Logan Airport. Stephen is survived by his son, Stephen Kuchtey of Columbia, SC, his daughter, Vickie Durling of Hampton, his granddaughter, Heather Jones of Newton, his great granddaughter, Amber Jones and his sister, Carolyn Brown of Hampton Falls. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the High Street in Hampton.
