Stephen Ross Snead, Sr. was born to the union of Roy and Amanda (Graham) Snead on November 23,1956 in Kansas City Missouri. He was the eldest of four brothers. Stephen attended Lincoln High school in Kansas City, Class of 1975.

He was blessed with three children and seven grandchildren. He was employed as a Production Specialist by Bendix Kansas City Division of Allied -Signal from 1978 until his health began to fail in 1991. He was a Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age.

It was when he stopped being an employee that his most important work began. He enjoyed mentoring young people providing advice on life, including tips on obtaining employment, problem solving and setting priorities. His logic and no-nonsense way of thinking made his mentoring effortless and one of his greatest pleasures.

Stephen was an overalls and cowboy hat guy who found joy in fishing, gardening, traveling, and entertaining. He used those hobbies to connect with people he loved. His front porch and living room had frequent visitors, were full of conversation, cold drinks and laughs.

Stephen welcomed without judgement. He was known to celebrate each KC Chiefs win by igniting a single M80 and two for blow- outs. Stephen knew how to have a good time!

Stephen was a very family oriented and compassionate man who was always there for his younger brothers. In his final days, Stephen displayed strength and determination. He was surrounded with love and care from his family and friends.

He was grateful for every visit conversation and kind gesture. Stephen was preceded in death by both parents, Roy and Amanda Snead.
