Dorothy Lee Ludwig was born on October 23, 1944 in Morrilton, Arkansas to James and Beulah Garrison Campbell. Dorothy departed this life peacefully at her home in Kansas City Missouri on Friday, September 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horst A. Ludwig, both parents, sisters, Alberta Hampton and Oneida Campbell and favorite aunts, Rosie Freeman, Josephine Wallace, Odessa Campbell and Iccaphine Hampton.

Dorothy attended Hickory Hill Elementary and completed her education at Menifee High School. Dorothy was joined in Holy Matrimony with Horst A. Ludwig on May 20, 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked for BMA Insurance and Farmland as the Head Cook until retirement.

Dorothy had a passion for baking, especially banana pudding and banana nut bread that had earned her rave reviews and request to keep on baking. Dorothy accepted Christ in 1991 at Swope parkway Church of Christ in Kanas City, Missouri. She was an active member of the Samaritan Sisters and the Meals-On-Wheels Ministry.

She remained faithful until her passing. Dorothy Lee Ludwig leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved brother, Tollie N. Campbell (Bobbie); cherished sisters, Dianna Bozeman (Ralph), JoAnn Campbell, and Goldrina Claudine Garrison; and many endearing nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service for Dorothy Lee Ludwig will be held Tuesday, October 2, 11:00 a.m. at Swope Parkway Church of Christ, 5620 Swope Parkway.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment, Leavenworth National Cemetery.
