Steve Warren Kapetanov September 23, 1955 ~ May 1, 2019 Steve Warren Kapetanov, 63, passed away on May 1, 2019 from natural causes at his home in Layton, UT. He was born at Hill AFB, UT, on September 23, 1955, the son of Mike Kapetanov and Diane Kapetanov (Stoddard). He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1974 – 1982.

He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1984 with a degree in Radiologic Technology. Steve married Sheila Garvey in 2000. They divorced in 2013 but remained friends.

Steve worked in the medical industry for 25 years as a radiological technician. Steve enjoyed boating, fishing, music, travel, telling stories, and laughing. Steve is survived by his mother, Diane Kapetanov, of Roy, UT; sister, Kristine Barrett (Kapetanov), of Pocatello, ID; brother, Dan Kapetanov, of Centerville, UT; and brother Dion Kapetanov, of Everett, WA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Kapetanov, in 1994; brother, George Kapetanov, in 1990; and sister, Linda Deschner (Kapetanov), in 2010. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the LDS Chapel located at 2700 W 3600 S West Haven, Utah. Friends and family may pay their respects and visit with immediate family during a memorial service prior to the funeral service from 10:00 – 10:45 A.M. in the relief society room at the same location and date.

Interment will directly follow the funeral service at the Hooper City Cemetery located at 5301 S. 6300 W., Hooper, UT.
