Steven Dewayne “Bob” Mitchell, the son of the late Wilbert and Nancy Hill Mitchell, was born Thursday, May 30, 1963 in Marion County and departed this life Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in Louisville at the Norton Hospital. He was 55 years, 4 months and 25 days of age. He was a dairy farmer and was of the Christian Faith.

“Bob”, as he was known by, enjoyed fishing, camping, and building model cars. Survivors include: his wife: Freida Jeanine Dedman Mitchell of Springfield; two children: Dale Preston and Amberdina Allen; five grandchildren: Taiten Allen, Jazzlynn Williams, Laithun Cotton, D’Andre Jeter and Arthur Creth III; sister-in-law: Louise Dedman Phillips; brothers-in-law: David Dedman and Dixon Dedman; nephews: Joshua Lee Dedman, Jonathon Dedman and Isaac Phillips and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Freddie Lane Mitchell.

The funeral service for Steven Dewayne “Bob” Mitchell will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with cremation to follow. Family requests visitation after 11 A.M. on Saturday until time for the service at the funeral home.
