Sandisfield, MA: Steven E. Rines, 62, died on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He was the husband of Holly (Adams) Rines. Born in Torrington, CT, March 6, 1956, he was the son of Joan B. (Thurston) Rines of Winsted, CT and the late Carroll E. Rines.

He had grown up in Winsted, and graduated from The Gilbert School in 1974. For the past 15 years he has been the Superintendent of Maintenance at Northwest Connecticut Community College in Winsted. Steve was an avid fisherman, Hunter, loved snowmobiling, car races, country music and playing cribbage.

In addition to his loving wife of 25 years and his mother, he is survived by two children, Christopher Rines of Winsted and Sara Rines of Sandisfield; three brothers, Michael Rines of Torrington, Jeffrey Rines of Hartland, CT, Timothy Rines of Roxonna, DE and two grandchildren, Bradley Cane and Sophia Rines.
