Madison, 36, of Machesney Park passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 27, 2019. Born February 24, 1982, in Richmond, Virginia, the son of James E. and Doreen (Johnson) Madison. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 2000.

He grew up in the family business and was the fourth generation to own the family business Madison Gun Shop. Married Bethany A. Knight on March 30, 2014, in Rockford, Illinois. Owned and operated Madison’s Bullet Stop in Loves Park.

Steven’s hobbies and interests include anything with technology. He was a disc jockey for a few years and was known as “Mr. Steve”. Former chairman of the Winnebago/Boone County Friends of NRA.

Steven had plans to run for State Senate in 2020. Survivors include his wife, Bethany; daughters, Olivia and Emily; son, Nicholas; and his parents. Predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
