Obituary for Steven Lee Schwartz Dateline: Godfrey Steven Lee Schwartz, 58, died at 8:44 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at Burt Shelter Care in Alton where he resided for 17 years. Born September 14, 1959 in Alton, he was the son of Leslie and Geraldine (Rousseau) Schwartz of Godfrey. Steven had served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Along with his parents he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Sean and Eileen Schwartz of Plainfield, IL and a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Robert Reagan of Elsah, IL. Private graveside services will be held at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
