Steven is survived by his children, Steven (Syd) Yellow Horse, Jr. of Rapid City, SD; Cody Yellow Horse of Pine Ridge, SD, Lana (Payton) Yellow Horse of Oglala, SD, step-daughter, BeeJay (Mo) Ward of Pine Ridge, SD, hunka parents, Henry and Nora Brings Him Back of Oglala, SD; grandchildren, Jessica Yellow Horse of Oglala, SD, Leo Yellow Horse of Rapid City, SD, Terrence Yellow Horse of Pine Ridge, SD, Ashley Blacksmith of Oglala, SD, Toni Ellen Marie Yellow Horse of Rapid City, SD, Carter Yellow Horse of Pine Ridge, SD, Bryant Yellow Horse and Dre’Vonte’ Yellow Horse both of Oglala, SD, Charlee, Ryan, and Peyton Ward all of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers, Rudy Standing Crow and Corwin Standing Crow both of Oglala, SD; sisters, Simone Standing Crow, Agnes Standing Crow, and Annette Yellow Horse all of Oglala, SD, Eileen Standing Crow of Virginia, and Tahnee Between Lodges of Utah.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Yellow Horse and Yvonne White Magpie; brothers, George Yellow Horse and Matthew Standing Crow; and grandparents, George and Rose White Magpie. Pallbearers will be Tom Two Lance, Corwin Blacksmith, Brian Brings Him Back, Jay Helper, Greg Yellow Horse, Sr., Dino Yellow Horse, Wes Yellow Horse, Sr., and Terry “Amigo” Two Bulls. Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Re-Creation Center in Oglala, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
