The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen L. Webb officiating.

Jones was born October 10, 1924 in Morgan, GA, the daughter of Annie Evelyn and Robert Jones. She was a homemaker and loved her garden, especially working with her succulents.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Known to many as “Mahoo”, she was always so proud of her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family at St. George Island, Lake Seminole, Hayesville, Gatlinburg, and the Attapulgus farm.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son Bill J. Jones Jr. of Opelika, AL; her daughter Linda S. Jones, M.D. of Iron City, GA; and her grandchildren Ryan A. Jones and his wife, Megan, of Opelika, AL and Haley Lane Clay and her husband, Taylor, of Auburn AL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Jones; and her brothers Lorelle Jones, Stansel Jones, and Lamar Jones.
