McGee, 75, of Adamsville, Ohio, formerly of Zanesville, Ohio, died Sunday morning, January 20, 2019 at her home. Born July 25, 1943 in Zanesville she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Lucille (Miller) Vincent. Mrs. McGee retired from Owens-Brockway of Zanesville where she worked as an inspector and a clinic nurse.

She was a member of Fairview Community Church in Adamsville and the Brockway Retirees group. She loved feeding the birds, flower gardening and cooking. Her greatest enjoyment was being with her grandchildren.

Surviving is one son, Rick A. McGee of Zanesville; two daughters, Kimberly S. (John) Creech of Angier, North Carolina and Kelly J. (Garry) Vernon of Adamsville; eight grandchildren, Wade, Caitlyn and Jake McGee, Rebecca Schrader, Hannah Tesinsky, Hali Wood, Josie Dotson and Jesse Vernon. Also surviving is her faithful cat, “Winky”. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester W. McGee whom she married August 25, 1960 and who died January 16, 1984; two granddaughters, Sarah and Savannah Vernon; a brother, Joseph Vincent and a sister, Patricia Purdum.

Calling hours will be Noon to 1pm Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
