Suzanne M. Consolo, 78, Appleton, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, on Friday, March 15, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on January 8, 1941 in Port Washington, Wisconsin, to the late Gregory and Elsie (Binsfeld) Weyker. She graduated from Port Washington High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army.

While stationed at White Sands Missle Base, New Mexico, she met Thomas Consolo. She wed the love of her life and her best friend on August 2, 1963. Suzanne was the oldest of five children and had a love for caring for others which led her into a lifelong career in the nursing field.

She was a devout Catholic her entire life and was member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a compassionate, gentle and kind person with a big heart who loved her family and friends and greeted everyone she met with a big smile. She touched so many lives and will be forever remembered for her generosity and kindness to others.

Most of all, Suzanne loved her family. She will be forever missed by her loving husband, Thomas of 55 years; children: Mary Zito, Appleton; Bob Consolo, Rhinelander and Tina Vollmer, Marinette; grandchildren: Katie (Craig) Keil, Brooke Consolo, Alicia Anderson, Becky Hanson and Thomas and John Allen; her 5 great grandchildren; sisters: Rosemary (George) Kobylinski and Donna (Matt) Smith; brother James Weyker; special aunt Verena Wester; nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and countless close friends; all whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law Alba and John (Frattini) Consolo; brother Greg; sister-in-law Mary Hennessey; brother-in-law Anthony Consolo, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

The family has chosen to have a Mass for Suzanne at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital for the empathy, care and compassion they showed Suzanne and her family.
