Sylvia Hanson, 75, Two Harbors, died Monday September 10, 2018 at home. She was born May 14, 1943 to Hugo and Florence (Field) Sundling in Detroit, MI. Sylvia graduated from Duluth East High School and UMD where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

She married Richard Hanson and they raised their family in Owen, WI for many years. Sylvia taught in Milwaukee and Owen-Withee schools districts before staying home with the children. More recently they moved to Two Harbors.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Jeff (Melissa) of Melrose, WI and Keith (Caroline) of Cumming, GA; and 5 grandchildren Emalie, Caylie, Zackari, Ella, and Sean. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
