Obituary for Sylvia L. Guillod Guillod (nee Taylor), Sylvia – age 81, of Cape May, was finally at Peace in the early morning hours of November 7, 2018. Known by many, Sylvia was a beautiful soul whose cheery demeanor and amazing tenacity left lasting impressions on all those whose lives she touched. Daughter of George Taylor and Ellen Macciocchi (both deceased), she was always proud to call 410 Bank Street her childhood home.

After marrying and moving away for a time, she returned to her beloved Cape May where she worked at Dellas’ 5 & 10. She lived a simple life, worked hard, and appreciated the small things. Her greatest joy was walking the Cape May boardwalk and surrounding streets, always taking time to enjoy the sky, the flowers, and all of God’s furry creatures.

Her greatest gift was living in the present moment and teaching others to do the same. She leaves to carry on her legacy, her three children, David Guillod (Cathy), Deborah Flanders and Sylvia Lockwood (Dan); along with grandchildren, Paul, Christopher, Christina, Sean, Megan and Danielle; great grandchildren, Luke, Madison and Christopher. She also leaves behind her brother, George Taylor (Pat), as well as, many nieces and nephews and joins in Peace her sister, Ellen Boyt.

Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday (Nov. 11th) from 11:30am until 12:30pm in the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May where Sylvia’s memorial ceremony will follow and begin at 12:30pm. Interment is private and at a later date.
