Sylvia Higuchi was born in Leiston, England on August 26th, 1928 to John and Phoebe. After college, Sylvia became a homemaker, married to Takaharu who passed on before her. Together they had a family, including their son Jon.

During her life, Sylvia moved to live in Waldport, Oregon where she lived for the rest of her life. On January 8th, 2019 Sylvia passed away at the age of 90 years old.
