Cohoes, NY Tammy Ray Gariepy, 50 was called home on February 26, 2019 after fighting a long illness. Born in Greenfield MA. , she was daughter of Flora Jean and Lyndon Ray.

She was the wife of Jay Gariepy for 13 years, who remained by her and showed what true love was. Sister of Angela, Rebecca, Lyndon (Crystal ) Ray, Yvonne, Kathy, Georgia and Nikki. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and Shelly a very close cousin who remained by her side throughout her illness.

Arianna, Kiara and Robert held a very special place in her heart throughout her life. She loved to spend time with her family and loved fostering children for many years. Her heart was full of love and compassion.

Tammy was a big part of the Adoption Community and advocate for foster children. She will be missed by the many people who have known her. Funeral services will be held Friday at 7pm from the Marra Funeral Home.
