Tammy Renee Swan Carter, 56, of Hamburg, died Friday, March 15, 2019. Mrs. Carter was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg. She was a nursing home nurse, enjoyed working with older people and making a difference in their lives.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by a son, Bradley Dean Swan in 2011 and her mother, Linda Morris McCollum. She is survived by a son, Preston Carter; her father, George Norman Swan, all of Hamburg; two brothers, Norman Lee Swan of Hamburg and Scott Swan of Kuwait; four grandchildren, Claire Swan, Maddie Carter, Brady Swan and Sadie Burchfield; her four-legged furby, Cheyenne and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2019, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Wesson and Bro. Kenneth Watt officiating.

Burial will be in the Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tristen Swan, Sladen Swan, Joseph Welch, A.J. Riels, Logan Morris, and Mark Morris. Memorials may be made to the Prairie Trail Ride for Cancer Patients, c/o Janice Lloyd 1051 Goose Hollow Road, Hamburg, AR 71646 or Carlock Cemetery, c/o Mike Bays, 331 Ashley Road 462, Hamburg, AR 71646.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
