Tanya Charisse Higgins , July 21, 1972 — May 10, 2018

It was the 21st of July in the year 1972, a legend, Tanya Charisse Higgins, was born to the late Olivia Higgins and Ernest Higgins Sr. Tanya began life in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Cleveland Public Schools. In the early 90’s, she graduated from EastTech High; then continued on to receive her Associates Degree from David N. Myers College in 1997. This was not the end of her educational career.

She continued to pursue greatness by attending classes at Bryant Stratton College. Tanya enacted that greatness by starting businesses revolving around her passions; one of them being Real Estate. In 2005, she established Tachin Investment Properties LLC.

She not only was a Real Estate Agent but she also become a loan originator and worked for a variety of mortgage companies. In 2014, she then launched her second business Pynk Soldierz LLC. It was from this company that she established “Fighting Soldierz”, which grew to be one of her biggest passions.

Tanya pioneered an Army of Fighting Soldierz; who support social awareness and encourage others to know that NO ONE is alone through this journey we call life and to keep up the fight. Tanya was always the life of the party, always vibrant, fun, inspirational and uplifting. She was such a caring woman who loved to bring her family together.

She enjoyed dancing, playing basketball, and cooking. She had a HUGE sense of humor like no other. But most importantly and most evidently she was a FIGHTER.

One more time TANYA WAS A FIGHTER. Tanya was a strong loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She touched the lives of so many with her presence, her voice, and her inspirational wisdom.

No one was ever a stranger to her. She treated people as if the were family always showing love, respect, and compassion no matter who they were. She leaves behind her two loving daughters, Chantelle Carr and India Higgins.

Tanya also leaves her nine siblings Timothy Moses, Desi Neal, Kacy Higgins, Randell Higgins, Angela Higgins, James Higgins and Thomas Higgins. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Tanya hopes that this family will continue to fill their tummies with good food and fill their hearts with love while raising her unborn grandchild.

Tanya was a ray of light that transcended on May 10, 2018. She is forever loved and her legacy will carry on for many generations to come.
