Obituary for Teresa Faye Davis (Britt) Teresa Faye (Britt) Davis, 70, of Monrovia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Teresa was born on March 6, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN to Kenneth and Betty Lucille (Brickley) Britt. Teresa married the love of her life, Larry James Davis on December 28, 1968.
Teresa would be remembered by many for working at Children’s Park in Mooresville for 25 years before retiring in 2010. She previously worked at the Perry Meridian Middle School as a Cafeteria Manager. Teresa was a past member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Indianapolis and Martinsville.
She loved going to French Lick and Shelbyville to gamble and her favorite was the slotts. She enjoyed boating but above all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and going to their games. Teresa is preceded in death by her dad, Kenneth Britt; granddaughter, Aireka Adams; and brother, David Britt.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Larry James Davis of Monrovia; mother, Betty Lucille (Brickley) Britt; four children: Angel (Ted) Clements of Camby, Larry Scott (Billie) Davis of Plainfield, Amy Jo (Denny) Smith of Plainfield; and Greg (Jennifer) Davis of Monrovia; eight grandchildren: Allee Jones, L.J. Adams, Trey Davis, Sterling Smith, Kadyn Davis, Kyra Davis, Durray Smith and Caden Romine; seven great grandchildren: Braxton, Brooklyn, Bailey, and Boston Jones, Kayden, Maisynn and Bishop Adams; two brothers: Kenneth and Danny Britt; two sisters: Judith Jeannette and Lisa Hollenbaugh. Family and friends may show their love and support from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 16, and 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, November 17 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Jack Elliott will officiate the Celebration of Life Service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 17 at the Funeral Home.
Teresa will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant @ Hall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make contribution to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, St Jude Childrens Research, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
