OBITUARY Teresa Lukinovich Kernion April 14, 1924 – November 14, 2018 Teresa Lukinovich Kernion died on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife for 46 years of the late Charles F. Kernion, Jr.; loving mother of Charlotte Kernion – Schwarz (Jeffrey), Charles F. Kernion III (Gail), Laura K. Gautrau (Gerard), and Melanie K. Lochbrunner (Eric); grandmother of Sherylee Schwarz (Nathan), Deric Solis (Colleen), Preston Gautrau, Mandy K. Palm (Michael), Major Douglas Gautrau (Monica), Charles F. Kernion IV, Meredith G. Hebert (Jake), Eric Lochbrunner, Jr., and the late Brady Solis; great grandmother of David, Blayne, Ryan, Elise, Daphne, Michael, Jr., Mila, Nola, and Lucy; sister of Andrew L. Lukinovich, Jr., and the late Amelita L. Cambre, Leoda L. Lapré, Sr. Mary Amelita SSND, and Carmel L. Brown; and the daughter of the late Andrew L. and Amelia Priez Lukinovich. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Teresa graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus High School on Canal Street. After high school, she worked for Texaco and later was a legal secretary. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, gardening, and entertaining.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mom’s caretakers, Burnette, Darlene, Trellis, Gertie, Joy, Natoya, Dee, and Camara, her nurses, Monique, Angelique, and Donna, and the staff of Peristyle and Lake Villa Residences, for all of their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd.

in New Orleans, on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 12 noon. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.
