Obituary for Texanna Thorpe Johnson Dateline-Laurens, SC Texanna Thorpe Johnson age 85 of 206 Forest Dr. passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at her home. She was born in Warrenton, VA and was a daughter of the late Lucian and Dora Reed Thorpe. Mrs. Johnson retired from Trans-Circuit in Alexandria, VA, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Gray Court.

Surviving is her son, James Wayne Johnson and wife, Vickie of Laurens, her daughter, Jeanette Shiflett (Woody) of Alexandria, VA; two sisters, Lucy Rocha of Lompoc, CA, Mary Campbell of Warrenton, VA; three grandchildren, Malisa Robey, Kasie Jacobs and husband, Michael, James Wayne Johnson, Jr. and four great grandchildren, Shaun Jacobs, Madeline Jacobs, Brittany Robey and Josie Robey. A gathering for family and friends to remember and share memories of Texanna’s life will take place Wednesday, May 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 940 Grove Rd, Greenville, SC 29605.
