Thelma Austin, age 88, of Dallas, GA. , went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 14, 2019. She was born on February 13, 1931 in Dallas, GA.

to the late Fletcher and Alice Mitchell. Mrs. Austin loved her church and was a lifelong member of New Georgia Baptist Church. In her spare time, she volunteered at Wellstar Hospital and had a huge heart for service and to help those in need.

Along with volunteering at the hospital Mrs. Austin enjoyed sewing, gardening and taking trips to the beach and the mountains. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved dearly by her family and friends.

Mrs. Austin is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Austin, her parents, siblings, Bernice Mitchell, Orvile Mitchell, Billy Mitchell and her daughter, Cynthia Joan Agricola. Survivors include her son, Richard “Rick” Austin of Dallas, GA. , 4 grandchildren; Jason (Dom) Austin of Dallas, GA.

, Stephanie (Randy) Harber of Dallas, GA. , Chrissy Agricola of Mableton, GA. , Kevin (Shanda) Agricola of Milton, GA.

, 5 great grandchildren; Hannah, Gracie, Melina, Eli, Emilie, 1 great- great grandchild, Jack and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Austin will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM with Dr. Keith Stell and Dr. Jim Burdette officiating. Interment will follow the service at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s research hospital in Mrs. Thelma Austin’s name.
