Funeral service for Thelma Johnson Chell, age 78, of Danville, will be Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stan Linderman officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Chell, who died Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Parkway Campus of Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born May 20, 1940, in Huntsville, to Cleveland Johnson and Josie Pearl Sharp Johnson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Lynne Chell, and her parents.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Chell of Danville; two sons, Raymond Chell of Neel, and Steve Chell (Linda) of Port St. Lucie, FL; one daughter, Roxanne Morris (Philip) of Danville; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
