Thelma Lorraine Davis, of Minneapolis, passed away on May 28, 2018. She was 70 years old. Thelma was born in Vance, Mississippi on November 24, 1947 to the union of Marvin and Nicey Lee Richmond (who preceded her in death).

Thelma grew up in Chicago, Illinois, mostly on the west side where she met her husband, Albert Davis. From that union, they had two sons. Thelma worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years until her health began to fail.

She was a people-person. Thelma loved to smile and laugh out loud. To know her was to love her.

Thelma joined the 7th Star Baptist Church in the 80’s with her mother and other family members. She moved to Minnesota in 2002. Thelma was a faithful member and mother at New Resurrection Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

Although she has gone home to be with her Heavenly Father, she has left behind so many wonderful and beautiful memories. Thelma leaves behind two sons, Albert Davis (Chubby) and Marvin Davis (Kim); eight grandchildren: Rommel, Aston, Kristen, Analysia, Darnell, Marsalina, Marcus, and Maurice; four great-grandchildren: Roderick, Isabella, Jade, and Angelina; seven sisters: Emma Jean, Edna Richmond, Bertha Richmond, Kathleen Ivy, Velma Richmond, Lauretta Richmond, and Mary Richmond; three brothers, William D., Calvin Richmond, and Louis Richmond; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and a special God-daughter, Belinda (Pluck) Dixon.
