Theresa C. (McBride) Lightowler, 88, of North Smithfield died June 28, 2018 in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Frank E. Lightowler whom she married September 1, 1947. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Conrad Cote and Mary (McBride) Cote.

Theresa worked for Amprex in North Smithfield for many years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Frank and loved to cook for her family.

Most of all she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and always cherished the time she spent with them. She is survived by a son, Mark (Maribeth) Lightowler of Orange, CT; a daughter, Deborah Lightowler of North Smithfield; a sister, Pauline (Jim) Masse of North Smithfield; six grandchildren; Heidi (Chris) Smith, David (Tricia) Schnorr, Marie (Mike) Flanagan, Elizabeth (Matt) Crimmings, Kara Lightowler and Mark Lightowler; and five great grandchildren; Hannah, Ryan, Meghan and Ryleigh Smith and Theresa Flanagan. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Janice Laplante and Agnes Salois and two brothers, Conrad Cote and Thomas McBride.

Her funeral will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Saint John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church Street, Slatersville. Burial will follow at 1 PM in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-7 PM, in the funeral home.
