Clark – Theresa Frances Dowzycki, 88, passed away peacefully on May 25th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Elizabeth she has resided in Clark for 58 years. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 31st, 10AM at St John the Apostle RC Church on Valley Road in Clark.

Theresa was born on October 3, 1929 in Elizabeth, NJ. She graduated from Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ and Franklin Beauty Culture School. Theresa married Alexander on October 15, 1949.

Theresa ran her own hair dressers’ shop in Clark for 40 years before retiring in 1985. She loved going to Atlantic City, playing Bingo and playing cards with her girlfriends. Especially she enjoyed spending time with her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son Alexander in 2007 and her brother Charles in 1976. Theresa is survived by her loving husband Alexander; her daughter Debbie Conti and her husband Victor; her sister Bernice Morrison; her daughter-in-law Dorothy Dowzycki; and her beloved grandchildren Kimberly, Erika, Victor, Alex, Amanda and Sara and her great grandchildren Julia, Sadie, Isabella, Victor, Maya, Steven and Erik.
