Thomas A. Dorsey, Sr. 73, of Wintersville died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home. He was born June 29, 1945 in Wheeling, WV. He is the son of the late William and Thelma Merryman Dorsey.

Also preceding Thomas is death are his brothers, James and Robert Dorsey, and one sister Norma Jean Dorsey. Thomas was retired from Trinity Hospital where he worked as a technician in sterile processing Department, where he was affectionately called “Big Daddy” for many years. He was graduate of Wayne High School class of 1963.

Thomas loved hunting and fishing and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Nancy Freeman Dorsey; one son Thomas “Tommy” (Amy) Dorsey Jr. of Steubenville; two daughters Stephanie Dorsey of Wintersville and Leiann Dorsey of Toronto; grandchildren Brandon Isaac, Katelynn and Andrew Dorsey, Heather Feist, Horace Shepard and great grandson Alex Feist. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd.

, Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Monday at the funeral home at 10 am, Rev. Delbert Lash will officiate.
