Solsky, 72, of Linden, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation at the Werson Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ, on Thursday, May 30th from 4 to 8 PM. The Pilgrim Service of Tribute will be at 7:30 PM Thursday evening.

There will be a Funeral Service for him here in the funeral home on Friday, May 31st at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park in Linden, NJ. Thomas was born in Elizabeth, NJ and was a lifelong Linden resident.

He was employed by Short Run Stamping Company in Linden, NJ, as a Machinist for 43 years retiring in 2011. Thomas, the Patriot, was a Linden High School Class of 1966 Graduate, was the 2019 Municipal Volunteer of the Year, the Union County Freeholders’ Local Advisory Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (LACADA), volunteer for the City of Linden for over 46 years, member of the Cultural and Heritage Committee since inception in 1991, served as Past President of the Halloween Parade Committee, Project Graduation Volunteer for 27 years and has never missed a year since inception in 1991. He was a member of The Loyal Fraternal Order of the Moose Lodge 913 since 1972, received the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1998 from Supreme Lodge, Illinois, served as Moose State President in 1999 and 2000, member of the Elks, American Legion, and NRA.

Thomas was predeceased by his parents, William and Josephine (nee Hnilicka), brothers, William Jr., William A., and Douglas. He will be sorely missed by his sisters Lizabeth Cvasa, Antoinette Hansen, Josephine Winans, and his brother, David Solsky, Moose Legionnaire, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
