Obituary for Thomas Archie Howell Thomas Archie Howell Mooringsport, LA Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Archie Howell, age 89, will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Rev. Roy Dale Strother officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery, Taylor, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 9, 2018, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home. Mr. Howell was born on September 16, 1929 to Hoyt and Leslie Maude Howell in Shongaloo, LA and passed away on December, 5th, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from International Paper Co. after 43 years of service.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and loved the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his daughter, Renee Carroll and husband, Marvin of Haughton, LA; son, Thomas “Eddie” Howell and wife, Rebecca of Mooringsport, LA; six grandsons, Dustin Howell of Sarepta, LA, Jake Howell and wife, April of Benton, LA, Jacob Howell and wife, Summer of Sarepta, LA, Justin Howell of Mooringsport, LA, Dalton Howell of Mooringsport, LA, Matt Carroll of Haughton, LA; two granddaughters, Brandi Howell of Colorado Springs, CO, Sarah Carroll of Haughton, LA; brother, Don Howell and wife, Ann of Jefferson, TX; daughter In-law, Patti Howell of Bradley, AR; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia “Marie” Howell; his parents; son, Michael “Mike” Howell; grandson, Michael Thomas Howell; brothers, Hoyte Vernon Howell, Bernece Howell, Dennis Howell, Darrell Howell, Ray Howell; sisters; Clairene Howell, Claudia Mae Neal, Marie Lewis, Katie Walker, and Faye Howell.
