OBITUARY Thomas C. Crowell January 7, 1922 – July 25, 2018 Mr. Thomas C. Crowell, age 96 of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born in Bedford County, Tennessee, to the late Thomas M. Crowell and Mattie Haskins Crowell. Mr. Crowell retired from working as an accountant, and after retirement, he worked part-time until he was 80 years old.

He and his wife, Thelma Pauline Nickens Crowell, were faithful members of over 50 years at Eastland Baptist Church. After Pauline’s passing, Mr. Crowell joined Tulip Grove Baptist Church where he attended for more than 15 years. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy.

He was an active member of the Mount Juliet Masonic Lodge 642 for 68 years. In addition to his parents and his wife, Pauline, Mr. Crowell is preceded in death by his two sisters and his son, Thomas Steven Crowell. He is survived by three sons, Paul Alan Crowell, Ira David Crowell, and Timothy Mark Crowell, and several extended family members and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00 am with Pastor Larry Dearth officiating. Military Honors and Interment will immediately follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike South, Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm.
