Obituary for Thomas Francis Jordan Thomas (Pawpaw) Jordan, 87, of James Island, South Carolina, husband of Molly Frances Gupton Jordan died Sunday, October 28, 2018. His funeral service will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 in Fort Johnson Baptist Church, 1473 Camp Road at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 1, 2018 in the church from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Pawpaw was born April 24, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois, son of the late Leo and Leona Jordan. He was exceedingly proud of serving in the US Navy.
He loved the Lord, his family, and his country. He loved playing baseball and coaching his son and grand-daughters. He loved playing games in the yard with his family, especially horseshoes.
He never met a stranger, if there was ever a need he was there to meet it no matter who you were. Pawpaw is survived by his wife of 64 years, Molly; two daughters; Judy Jordan Koth (Scott) of James Island, SC and Cindy Jordan Wells (Mike) of James Island, SC, two sons, Thomas Leo Jordan II (Mary)of Antioch, Illinois and Timothy John Jordan (Kathy) of James Island, SC. Nine grandchildren: Joseph, Cindy Leigh, Thomas, Jamie, Jennifer, Christopher, Jordan, Michael, and Katie.
Eight great-grandchildren: Grayson, Grace, Copeland, Parker, Logan, Faith, Jade and Hope, and one sister, Pat Norris of Norfolk, VA. Memorials may be made to Fort Johnson Baptist Church building fund, 1473 Camp Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
