Thomas L. “Tom” Petska, age 56, of Hebron, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at JourneyCare in Woodstock. Tom was born November 11, 1961 in Waukegan and raised in Spring Grove. He graduated from Richmond Burton High School in 1979.

Tom worked at Thread and Gauge in Spring Grove from 1980-1994. In January 1994 Tom left his longtime employer to join Steloc Fastener Co. in Wheeling. Tom remained employed there until this last year.

One of Tom’s greatest passions in life was spending time with his grandchildren, he was always happy to make the drive from Palatine to Hebron. He was a very loving dad, and a doting grandpa.

Tom referred to himself as a “Pickup man”. He loved his truck and enjoyed driving in it anywhere, anytime. Tom is lovingly remembered by his son Tom and wife, Ceej of Hebron; grandchildren Haylee, Landon, Jayden, and Kesslee; his father, Thomas L. (Darlene) Petska Sr.; Godparents, Uncle Bob Miller and Aunt Sandy Casey; a brother, Mike Petska; a sister, Cheryl (Frank) Petska; nephews, Rafeal and Jason; a niece, Michelle; great nieces, Remi and Sophia; and great nephew, Hunter.

Tom was preceded in death by his Mother, Bette Petska. Friends and family may gather on Saturday, November _? _ from 1 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. Celebration of Life service at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, Il 60081.
