Thomas “LeRoy” Bailey, 83, of Newport, after a long, brave battle to remain here with the people he loved, Capt. Leroy passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his home. There will be a private service for family and friends at a later date.

Capt. Leroy made life better for every person he touched, and he will be greatly missed by the family who loves him. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Amanda Albert and family; grandson, Damien Morris of the home; two nieces whom Leroy loved very much, Debbie Jodner and family, and Beth Thomson and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, FL 33607-1460. Online condolences may be made at www. mundenfuneralhome.net Arrangements are by Munden Funeral Home & Crematory, Morehead City, NC.
